The crunching of gravel on approach harks back to an English manor and combined with the rear paved and hedged garden, there is definitely a hint of England in this home. Comparing the photos from 8 years ago to the recent renovation of this 1996 home, is quite amazing. The design and improvement that has taken place is simply amazing. It's worth googling the previous advertisement. The large living dining leads out to the sunny rear courtyard complete with retractable awning. Kitchen is functional but not large but the downstairs is bathed in Northerly light.
It would be remiss of me not to mention the 'garage' that is in fact a laundry hidden behind a roller door and it looks like this was converted from a garage. The laundry ends up being oversize and larger than one of the upstairs bedrooms. If you like a large laundry then this is the home for you.
Upstairs features a central living area overlooking the living area with large windows which currently functions as a study and lounge room. Main bedroom is over 20 metres in size with an ensuite and a balcony.
Overall , a pleasant comfortable home on a sizeable block of land that has been well renovated and well updated. It is close to North Sydney yet tucked away and near Anderson park and the small group of shops on Clarke Rd Location is excellent once you work out how to enter the top of the one way street via the spaghetti intersection below North Sydney. It does prevent people over parking the street so there is a benefit to the access being challenging the first time. Access to Harbour Bridge and trains are very close.
- North facing beautiful rear garden with hedges
- gravel parking area and front entry
- glass panels at rear wall
- very large laundry uses up space
- small 3rd bedroom upstairs
- one way access on Kurraba Rd
