Downsizers are busy inspecting homes, specifically seeking large oversized single-level units that feel like their old house with high ceilings and level access to shops with a north-facing aspect with some outdoor area. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Add to this the ability to fully redecorate and modernise to one's own taste rather than paying for someone else's renovation style and this unit is certainly hosting many prospective buyers the 2 times I attended. The building is a very well maintained, beautiful classic art deco in Edgecliff Rd and whilst the unit is on the corner of 2 roads maximizing windows and light, the traffic is not excessive. The balcony is accessed via a couple of steps from the living room and is on the garage so spacious, it does need some softening up with pots and possible shade subject to strata...as its North facing and quite bright. Room sizes are large, with kitchen and dining next to each other with living access through the hall. main bedroom is north-facing and overlooks the balcony area. No ensuite but 2 toilets and 2 showers and a laundry spread out over 3 rooms. Huge potential to renovate and create a large home. Due to the brick nature of these solid old buildings, there was almost no traffic noise from inside. I have not seen many like this one in the past year that are a downsizers dream ticking so many of the critical boxes.
- One level large character apartment
