Full disclosure, I love this house and it is also a client of mine who owns it—having said that my review would be glowing regardless as the home is like nothing I have seen in this area. Freestanding on 380m and next to a park with no overlooking, the home feels private and not hemmed in at all even though Seven Ways shops and cafes are a 1 min walk away and less than a 10-minute walk to the Beach. The location is central but just tucked away enough not to take the full brute force of beachgoers and parking chaos in the busier months. So big tick to the location. The house itself is very large with a sizeable garden and pool. 4 large bedrooms upstairs, the master is enormous with great views of trees and greenery. Downstairs is another room for TV or for inlaws or anyone who can't manage the stairs. There is a bathroom on the ground floor as well as room for a shower if required. There is also a full-sized study with built-in desks and shelves overlooking the tree in the central courtyard.
No expense has been spared with heated concrete floors, solar panels as well as Japanese, Balinese, Moroccan, Spanish influences throughout. This is a unique house that has been architecturally designed with high soaring ceilings, and painstakingly built with no gyprock in sight, just solid walls and an incredible eye for detail. It may be a new house but it has soul and feels like a home.
