Maybe you've walked past this row of absolutely enormous terraces in this very central location and admired their architecture. It is only when you enter and walk around the enormous rooms and notice the towering ceilings do you feel transported back to the early days of Grand Houses in Sydney. Interestingly, somehow, and I do not understand why, the property doesn't just feel like an impossibly large house, it has a soul and a feeling of being steeped in history. It feels quite intimate as you walk between drawing rooms and living areas which is unusual in a large modern house which can feel soulless but a beautiful terrace takes you in and hugs you. The parties that have been and will be held in the vast spaces could only be imagined. Bedrooms are large, bathrooms plentiful but needing upgrades and the ground floor ballroom with separate entry is such a delightful space and not an afterthought as it's a feature of the home. Parking is a large space and in the vicinity of the rear of the apartments up the hill but not noticeable based on the aspect and design of the home. The internal terrace could do with some plants but is well located off the kitchen with easy access to living areas. A trophy home, in a great location on a quiet road and a short walk to Macleay St Potts Point or Rushcutters Park but not ostentatious as it was built over 100 years ago to be grand, large, and a statement, and as it is tasteful, it achieves just that. A modern update and matching furniture could be the juxtaposition it needs as it celebrates a new owner and the next 100 years. Just do not paint the incredible doors and woodwork, as these are just perfect and well-preserved as a character feature.
