It is unfair to make up three negative points when you have to think long and hard about the areas a home could be improved without nitpicking and compromising on other areas. Sure a house could come with 2 carparks but that would take up green space They should come to mind immediately, yet apart from the rear yard lacking depth, there is little to complain about this property. Having said that, the front yard is beautiful.
Upon entering via a gracious front verandah with district views, the hallway widens as you walk down it past enormous storage cupboards into the rear informal family living area. The living and kitchen area has been designed to be the heart of the family and is very functional with a 6 burner oven designed for a large family. The main bedroom is enormous overlooking the front garden with a generous dressing room larger than a WIR leading to very well fitted out ensuite bathroom with heated floors. The formal lounge and dining rooms are very well restored with beautiful pressed ceilings, fireplaces, and lighting. Ceilings are high and painting is sympathetic to the era yet understated.
Upstairs is home to 3 bedrooms with large playrooms and storage within the eaves allowing enormous functionality as they are almost full rooms and allow the current owner's children to have a large additional space to spread out.
The rear yard is astroturfed and comes with a DA for Pool and landscaping which we did not review but this will reduce the rear space even more. The location is midway between the Avenue Rd Shops and Sirius Cove Beach and Park as well as a brief walk to Mosman Junction so well located with buses and schools nearby.
A hard to fault property ready to hand the baton over to the next lucky family.
