The agent described this property as Quintessential which is a phrase that is tossed around a lot. In this instance, he was spot on as it did 'represent the most perfect or typical example of a quality of class' hence my inability to find many significant negatives.
Most homes of this period are nicely restored and look well presented. This property, in addition feels like a home with multiple living zones and a large yard featuring a beautifully landscaped pool surrounded by a well maintained garden. Readers of our reviews will know that we do favour a sunny rear garden and living area but the pool reflects light giving the impression of brightness. Happily the living area at 2pm in winter was not dark at all even though it is South facing.
This quintessential Federation home has the typical grand formal living and dining area at the front of the home. The upstairs main bedroom and ensuite/WIR shares a nursery/study resulting in an enormous area leading onto a full house width balcony framing an enormous 180 degree view of the surrounding suburb and City. Deciduous trees do allow the City and Harbour Bridge view but even in Summer there is no doubt that the vista is one of the homes many party pieces.
The owners ' getting to know our home' sheet helps expand the opinion I formed in a 15 minute inspection and frames the areas I couldn't see. Definitely worth a read during your visit.
