A nice touch when inspecting this property was being supplied a full page Vendors comments to help the buyers get to know the home. This is the first time this property has been for sale since 1963 when the owner builder sold it to the current occupant's parents. If this is not an enormous endorsement of living happily in a home then I don't know what is. The brief confirms the amazing location near many Schools, ferry, local shops and the 4 Junctions. In addition, a heartfelt outline of how happy the owners were there as the many generations grew up and the large number of gatherings that were held including gun barrel views of the Fireworks.
Having walked past this home many times in my younger years, walking to school, I always assumed the amazing view of the City would be compromised by the road out the front. Having inspected the property, this is definitely not the case for a number of reasons. Car park is from the rear so access is not from the front, traffic is slow ( admiring the view and narrow lanes) and the house is set back a fair distance and at a height that cuts out visual or sounds of traffic.
The house has a beautiful federation facade and period features. It has a large front and rear yard with the rear yard offering space to expand the rear into an open living and kitchen area STCA. A potential upstairs addition will expand the views and allow a parents retreat to enjoy the views. Currently 4 bedrooms are served by 1 unrenovated bathroom and a kitchen that would benefit from updating if a major renovation was not undertaken.
The rear garden was bathed in sunlight at 11am facing North with rear access via a laneway to ensure efficient entry. Currently the garden does feature some bedrock which will need to be levelled to allow the garden to be fully grassed. This area might be part of a garage installation though.
So much space and potential with North rear and jaw dropping City landscape from the front, this property is ready for the next chapter to provide a happy home for the next 60 years. Seeing the enormous crowds inspecting , it looks like everyone knows it.
