Character weatherboard in central North Freo! With the original elevated verandah, high ceilings, wooden panelling and pressed tinned ceilings, the front of this home has a lot of federation charm that is much loved. The renovated bathrooms have been finished in black and white tile, keeping with the cottage feel. The continuity in my opinion unfortunately ends there. While the kitchen and living extension at the rear is well equipped and perfectly functional, an open-plan design would have offered a more inviting contemporary living and entertaining space. The additional outdoor entertaining area bordering the elevated pool and shed is perhaps a lost opportunity here also. The sloping block and limestone cap rock common in this part, may have forced the pool to be featured partially above ground creating further separation, but one can only imagine what could have been if other decisions were made for the rear yard. I do like this property however and have no doubt that whoever purchases this property will be super happy with this cottage as it stands.
Sitting in a sought-after pocket of old North Fremantle with character properties surrounding, this is a winning location. The river, ocean, town centre, restaurants, cafes, schools, and parklands are all nearby. A lifestyle location with further upside potential for years to come.
