A large home in a great location. The size and newness of the home strikes you upon approach but it is noticeable that it is up on top of the rise so feels open and light. There is however a slight walk up the hill to the home and then upstairs to the front door with further stairs inside. The spacing of the groups of stairs actually results in it not being an issue and it does separate the home into zones effectively. Upon entering the house your eyes are directed up the tiled stairs to an enormous living area over 80 metres. This is framed by enormous opening glass doors leading out to the Loggia and the garden which faces due North. Interesting to note that there are mature established trees in the garden which are not heavy in foliage and allow the sun to enter the home. It is nice to have a garden that is not just grass in a newly constructed home.
Upstairs and the master bedroom awaits with what can only be described as the longest walk-in wardrobe I have ever seen and an absolutely enormous ensuite the size of a large bedroom. All other bedrooms also have ensuites and there is also a WC/powder room downstairs which is sensible. To add to the sense of space there is a media room downstairs and a family room upstairs. It is great to see a home with such a large living area downstairs also having 2 other separate living spaces.
The location is within a brief walk to Pottery Green and the Olympic pool and Lane Cove Village.
As far as the building itself is concerned, we are not builders and at first glance, it did look like a lot of thought had gone into the property in the planning and common sense. We can't comment on the build quality but did note that with 6 bathrooms Italian marble had not been used which made sense for what is predominantly a working family home. Finishings looked to be medium-level without being very high quality but this makes sense for the type of home.
- Size of floor plan and openness
- All bedrooms have ensuites
- Location is central to Village
- stairs up to living area
- Yard size
- some finishing touches still required
